Here are the hometown (Wilmington,NC) boys, busting it out on the Battleship on the Cape Fear River. Though this song is from their first album, their new one, “Prophecy” is out on Lucid as well. Though not as playful as this song intimates, Thunderlip blends punk and metal wonderfully and their new stuff furthers that direction.

Just got this album in the mail about two weeks ago, and I’m really glad I did. The album is awesome, and though I wouldn’t say this song is the best, it highlights what Dartz! does well–pop jauntiness with the backdrop of math rock. They are Q and Not U with a larger dose of fun. The vid is a bit too much of an 80s redux, but the song makes up for it.
